Your house is your home but it's time to breathe new life into either an outdated kitchen or create that outdoor living space you have always dreamed about. Maybe you need a more practical approach with the way you live and need a better use of your space by adding a mudroom or a bigger family room. Either way, something is going to change for the better.
Collect Your Ideas
Cut out magazine articles and pictures. Visit open houses and showrooms. Take pictures. Print photos from the internet. Have fun collecting and don't forget to write down in the margins what you liked about that particular design or look. Initially, don't rule out anything that may seem too difficult or expensive. We can help you narrow that search based on what you are trying to accomplish and your budget.
Define Your Goals & Set a Budget
You may or may not know specifically what you want in a remodel but take the time to assess your needs and wants and those of your family. Make notes on how you would best enjoy and use the new space. Decide how much you would like to invest in your remodel project. Keep in mind the costs of materials. We are happy to provide clearly defined proposals.
Design
The best plans are those that the homeowner, designer and contractor collaborate on. Joe Amirault Remodeling experience is highly beneficial in making sure plans are functional, cost effective and true to your goals.
Material Selection
Start thinking about what you may like in cabinets, fixtures, appliances or other materials that will be needed as part of creating your new living space. Most of your selections will need to be done before construction begins and some will be made during the process. Choosing your materials early, allows us to keep on schedule and minimize surprises.
Also, avoid last minute changes! We will do our best making adjustments to plans but understand that some plans can not be changed or it may be very costly to proceed in a new direction. We are happy to help you through the selection process and have developed a long standing relationship with many local vendors.
Realistic Expectations
Let's face it. Construction can be messy, dusty and intrusive. We always remember that this is your house and not our work site so we take measures to minimize the inconvenience, to maintain a clean work environment and to care for family and pets. Joe Amirault Remodeling provides you with documented and timely schedules. We want you to enjoy your new space as soon as possible.
